Since we launched CFO Innovation in 2009, we have had two iterations of our website and newsletters. Some of you may remember our first site, which featured multi-colored tabs, RSS feed and our CFO Innovation Asia logo.
In 2014, we upgraded your digital home, with a new logo and a single color scheme (go, orange!) and without the RSS feed, which had become obsolete. Today, we welcome you to the latest upgrade of a nine-year-old publication.
CFO Innovation 3.0
Our latest redesign has a leaner and cleaner look, both on computer screens and mobile devices. We think this new, straightforward format makes it easier for you to read our content, particularly on your mobile phone.
We have retained our orange tint and our focus on curated and created content that we believe is most relevant and useful to CFOs and the finance and accounting team. But we have simplified our taxonomy.
Instead of seven content tabs, the new website has only three: Accounting & Compliance (for finance controllers and compliance officers), Management (for CFOs, treasurers and team leaders) and Technology (for everyone).
Additionally, there are sub-categories under the Management tab that may be specifically applicable to specific functions such as finance professionals on risk committees (Risk Management), finance professionals that closely work with other departments (Business Partnering) and those who lead a team, including the CFO (Talent Management).
These tabs are not meant to silo content. Rather, they are meant to organize information according to function and interest, to make it easier for readers with special interests to find the information they are looking for conveniently grouped, arranged in time order with the four most recent articles featured on the top of the page.
You can also click on the “Read More On” tab at the bottom of each individual story for other content on the same subject.
On a personal note, I would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye to you, our loyal readers. I have opted to take early retirement and return to my native Philippines.
It has been a rewarding nine years for me as editor-in-chief of CFO Innovation. I will always treasure my interactions with CFOs, controllers, treasurers and other finance professionals across Asia in our conferences, roundtable discussions, webinars, newsletters and this, our digital home.
A new editor-in-chief will be introduced to you in due course. I hope you will remain supportive of CFO Innovation today and in the years to come.
