Customers of JPMorgan Chase & Co. turned to Reddit and other social media after finding out a system glitch that allowed them to access others’ accounts instead of their own on Wednesday New York time, according to a report by Bloomberg.
There were 600 comments on a Reddit forum about the issue, which the bank said has been fixed, the report says.
“We’re still investigating now, but at this point believe it was extremely limited in scope,” Trish Wexler, a spokesperson for JPMorgan was cited as responding in an email to an inquiry by Bloomberg.
However, personal information was revealed as if they were an authorized user on the account, according to various media reports.
JPMorgan could not confirm that there were not any unauthorized transactions.
