Ghosts in the Machine: AI, Risks and Regulation in Financial Markets

This report from Baker & McKenzie and Euromoney Thought Leadership looks into how Artificial Intelligence (AI) will dramatically change the way financial markets operate. The findings are based on a global survey and in-depth interviews. 

At this point few believe that robots will drive financial-market operations without human control. However, 68% believe AI will bring complete or substantial change to their own jobs in 15 years. 

60% of respondents thinks that AI will require some new and improved regulations. However, 76% of respondents believe that regulators are not keeping up with the pace of advances in technology. The regulatory industry globally is trying to stay up-to-date by research and collaboration.
