Innovative companies are led by innovative leaders. They look at the world around them and try to figure out what’s going well and what’s not, says Hal Gregersen, executive director of the MIT Sloan Leadership Center and a senior fellow at Innosight. “They don’t give up on their questions until they found out why.”
But for a company to be more innovative, the leader has to act innovatively first. Walking the talk and doing it yourself are more important than any other change initiative.
