Survey: The Most Employable Universities in Asia Are in Japan, Hong Kong, China and Singapore

The latest global employability ranking of the world’s universities places University of Tokyo as the No. 1 institution in Asia that recruiters believe is the best at preparing students for the workplace.

Globally, Asia’s top university for employability is ranked No. 9. The top five places are occupied by the California Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Cambridge.

The global employability ranking was designed by HR consultancy Emerging and the interviews were done by research organization Trendence, with the results published by Times Higher Education. The employers surveyed voted for institutions in their own country and universities around the world if they recruit internationally.

In Asia, Hong Kong University of Science Technology was ranked second in employability (No. 12 globally, versus No. 71 for the University of Hong Kong), followed by Peking University in China, and National University of Singapore.
