Casino Giant Melco Loses a Financial Director, Gains a CFO

Geoffrey Stuart Davis, Executive Vice President and CFO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, will also become CFO of mother company Hong Kong-listed Melco International Development in a concurrent capacity effective December 31, 2017.

The current Melco Development finance leader, Group Finance Director Dennis Tam Chi Wai, will leave the company on the same date "to devote his time to start a business venture," according to a company statement.

Davis was appointed to his current roles in April 2011. Prior to that, he served as the deputy chief financial officer of Melco Resorts from August 2010 to March 2011, and as senior vice president, corporate finance, when he joined the company in 2007.

He was a research analyst for Citigroup Investment Research covering the US gaming industry from 2001 to 2007. From 1996 to 2000, he held a number of executive positions with Park Place Entertainment, the largest gaming company in the world at the time, and Hilton Hotels Corporation.

Davis has been a CFA charter holder since 2000 and obtained a bachelor of arts from Brown University in 1991.

Melco International Development is the largest single shareholder of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, which is listed on Nasdaq and in Hong Kong. It owns and operates the City of Dreams entertainment casino resorts in Macau and Manila.
