Anta Sports CFO Delivers Stellar Earnings, Then Resigns

Hong Kong-listed ANTA Sports Products has announced the resignation of former investment banker and external auditor Lam Jim effective January 1, 2018 "to pursue other career opportunity."

The company will "identify an appropriate person to fill the vacancy of the chief financial officer of the Company as soon as practicable."

Named CFO in March 2016, Lam continued Anta's winning ways and presided over a 20% increase in revenue and 17% rise in net profit in 2016. Revenue in the first half of 2017 grew 19% while earnings rose 28% -- and free cash flow skyrocketed 151%.

Impressive CV

Lam has over 20 years of experience in the field of auditing, equity research, investment and financial management. He was an executive director and chief financial officer of Soho China Limited and Top Spring International Holdings Limited and the chief financial officer of I.T Limited and Greentown China Holdings Limited, all of which are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Lam also worked for an international audit firm and various international investment banks for over 10 years.

Lam holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a master’s degree in accounting and finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
