AFP Launches Digital Finance Academy to Prepare Finance Pros for Transformation

The Association for Financial Professionals is launching the Digital Finance Academy to give treasury and finance professionals the knowledge and resources to prepare and lead digital transformation.

This series of seminars features a curriculum that teaches practitioners to master a firm’s data, understand the implications digital mastery of data has for analytics, and the strategic decision making and critical thinking needed for finance to lead data effectively.

The Digital Finance Academy presents data mastery and analytics from a system agnostic approach and teaches practitioners to excel in any environment that has undergone, or needs to undergo a digital transformation.

The five-course program includes:

  1. Leading With Data: Design Data Driven Processes
  2. Lead Transformation by Mastering Data
  3. Developing an Effective Business Analytics Capability
  4. Impact Business with Data Visualization
  5. Financial Analysis: Critical Thinking and Decision Making

“There is no question that ever-evolving technology is reverberating loudly within the finance and treasury community, affecting every single job,” said Jim Kaitz, president and chief executive officer of AFP. “Change is just a matter of when, where and how it affects corporate treasury and finance, and whether the profession will proactively lead the coming changes, or passively react to the unavoidable technological advancements that are already underway.”
