Taiwan's Financial Firms on Hiring Spree

To enable business expansions as the market recovers from the worst financial tsunami in decades, Taiwan's domestic financial holding firms, banks, and insurance firms plan to hire at least 20,000 new employees this year, says the China Post.

According to the Post, companies that are poised to undertake a recruitment drive this year include Chinatrust Financial Holdings, Shin Kong Financial Holdings, Hua Nan Commercial Bank, First Commercial Bank, Cathay Life, Shin Kong Life and Fubon Life Assurance.

The companies are looking to hire wealth management specialists, customer service staffers, and those versed with corporate banking operations.
