Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking Appoints Jeffrie N. Korompis as Chief Representative Officer for Indonesia

Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) announces the appointment of Jeffrie N. Korompis as Chief Representative Officer for Indonesia, with effect from 16 October 2013.

Based in Jakarta, Jeffrie will be in charge of the Indonesia Representative Office and further develop the bank’s franchise by deepening relationships with local corporates, multinational corporations, financial institutions and government entities.

With over 20 years spent in a career spanning both financial and corporate sectors, Jeffrie had also undertaken senior roles in treasury, origination and investment banking as well as mining operations and investments.  He had successfully negotiated numerous intricate restructuring deals during the Asian financial crisis in the late 1990s, and is also highly experienced in establishing sizeable complex start-ups.

A seasoned senior executive in both sides of the lending business, Jeffrie’s appointment is testament to SG CIB’s commitment to expanding its presence in Southeast Asia and in strengthening its already leading Global Finance franchise within Indonesia.

Jeffrie reports to Pascal Lambert, Head of SG CIB, Southeast Asia and Chief Country Officer, Singapore.

Prior to joining SG CIB, Jeffrie N. Korompis had held senior positions at Barito Mining, Ithaca Resources, CIMB Securities Indonesia, Mandiri Sekuritas, Danareksa and ING Indonesia Bank.
