Singapore's LearningHub to Offer ACCA Qualification

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and LearningHub Global Institute Pte Ltd (LHUB GLOBAL) have announced a new partnership to offer the ACCA Qualification to aspiring finance professionals who are keen to pursue careers in accounting and finance.

In order for Singapore to become the global accountancy hub in Asia Pacific by 2020, finance professionals must excel in a broad range of capabilities, from supporting businesses in international environments to managing risk, developing effective strategies for growth, driving financial insight, continuing to maintain appropriate levels of control across the organisation as well as ensuring its statutory and regulatory responsibilities are met.

From corporate reporting, financial management and management accounting to law, tax, audit, governance, risk and financial control, the ACCA Qualification equips finance professionals with the full range of competencies needed in the corporate sector today.

Under the new partnership, LHUB GLOBAL will offer the ACCA Qualification to aspiring finance professionals with at least two intakes a year, in preparation for ACCA's June and December examinations.

The first intake for the December 2013 examinations saw encouraging response with a total of 40 students registered for classes. Positive feedback was also received from the students on the relevance of the course in relation to what is required of today's finance professionals and the manageable pace of study which suits busy working adults.

Both ACCA and LHUB GLOBAL are confident that interest in the ACCA qualification will continue to rise, spurred by the growth of opportunities in the accountancy sector in Singapore, and look forward to another robust intake of students for the January 2014 examinations.

The strategic partnership comes as a result of a shared objective to provide reputable, affordable and accessible courses to equip Singapore's future finance professionals with the necessary skill sets to overcome the challenges and opportunities of today's business community and to maintain their employability in this dynamic landscape.
