Singapore Raises Foreign Worker Levy

To control the number of foreign workers employed by local businesses, the Singaporean government has raised levy rates for most Work Permit holders by S$10 and S$30 per month.

The Straits Times says foreign worker levies, which now range from S$150 to S$470, will increase gradually over the next three years to improve productivity of companies.
