Singapore MNCs on Hiring Spree

Singapore's strong economic recovery is driving recruitment activities in the island nation, as more than half of the 564 multinational corporations polled reveal they intend to hire more staff in the second quarter of the year.

The Straits Times reports that banking and financial services, health care and life sciences, and manufacturing and industrial, are the sectors that are more keen to recruit.

Only 3% say they will slash manpower, compared to 19% a year ago, says the newspaper.
