Salary and Employment Insights 2013: Hong Kong

This Salary and Employment Insight report from Hudson is based on a survey of 707 employers and employees in Hong Kong. The survey findings show that companies in Hong Kong remain positive on hiring permanent staff during 2013. With continued talent shortage, the market is employee driven, and employers have to think about how to attract and retain the most sought-after candidates.

The fact that the cost of living in Hong Kong is famously high, money will always be a critical factor in deciding whether or not to accept a new role. But with the lack of big salary increases, employees are progressively looking for other incentives, for example career development and health benefits, before deciding to switch to another workplace.
