For over two decades, the Asia-Pacific region has served as an engine of growth for the global economy. But the recent slowdown of China’s growth combined with the winding down of quantitative easing in the US has resulted in an increase of hot money flows and volatility in foreign exchange rates.

The APAC of today is no longer just a one-side and fits all growth story. Asian economies are now left with their own devices to find their source of growth (i.e. regional and country-specific), which leads to divergence.
