Mark Takahashi to Leave CLP Holdings

CLP Holdings Limited announces the resignation of Mark Takahashi and the appointment of Geert Peeters as Group Director & Chief Financial Officer of CLP Holdings to take effect from 1 April 2014.

 

After serving CLP Holdings for 10 years, Mark Takahashi has decided to leave CLP Holdings on 31 March 2014 to join his family and pursue his future career in the United States. Takahashi will also step down as a Member of the Finance & General Committee and the Provident & Retirement Fund Committee of the Board of CLP
Holdings on 31 March 2014.

 

Peeters, aged 50, is currently the Deputy Chief Financial Officer of GDF SUEZ Group based in Paris. He has been with GDF SUEZ since 1997, gaining extensive experience in senior financial and operational roles in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North America. Prior to taking up his current position he was the Chief Financial Officer of International Power plc, a GDF SUEZ subsidiary listed on the London Stock Exchange and part of the FTSE 100 index until July 2012. Before joining GDF SUEZ Mr. Peeters worked for KBC Bank in Brussels and New York.

 

Peeters has a Master of Science degree in Electro Mechanical Engineering and a post graduate Master degree in Business and IT Administration.

 

Peeters will report to the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for Group financial control & reporting, Group treasury, Group tax, Group corporate finance, risk management and investor relations of CLP Holdings. To ensure an effective handover, Peeters will join CLP Holdings on 1 February 2014.
