The US will begin collecting tariffs on another $16 billion of Chinese goods on Aug 23, said the office of the US Trade Representative on Tuesday as it released a final tariff list targeting 279 import product lines.

While five product lines were taken out of the list proposed on June 15, semiconductors—one of the largest categories—remain on it.

Now, around US$50 billion of Chinese goods face a 25% tariff.

China said it will match the US’s tariffs with duties on an equivalent worth of American products.
