Going Beyond the Data: Achieving Actionable Insights with D&A

This report from KPMG states that when it comes to Data and Analytics (D&A), organizations all over the world are still trying to make sense of this new way of using data. The report is based on a global survey.  
The report shows that companies that have adapted operational D&A in to their organization have a great advantage. For example a strong D&A strategy will provide CFOs with insights on where to close the gap to meet financial goals, instead of focus on why forecasts were missed. But to get there companies must identify what data to use and what questions to ask.
Key Findings
  • 96% admitted that they could do more with big data and make better use of analytics in their organization
  • 56% say they have changed their business strategy to meet the challenges of big data
  • 85% say one of the biggest challenges with analytics is implementing the right solutions to accurately analyze and interpret data
  • 75% had some difficulty making decisions around analyzing data
