This 2014 ranking report mirrors the quality or attractiveness of the business environment in 82 countries, in particular, how companies formulate their global business strategies to generate a unique set of forward-looking business environment rankings on a regional and global basis.
The Economist’s Intelligence Unit created ten separate categories and looked at each country’s environment (e.g. political and macroeconomic) within the past five years and for the next five years. Each category had its own sets of indicators and data provided the forecast for the 2014-2018 period.
