Intercontinental Hotels Group promotes CFO to CEO

Richard Solomons, chief financial officer and head of commercial development at InterContinental Hotels Group, has been promoted to chief executive of the company.


Effective July 1, Solomons succeeds Andrew Cosslett, who will step down on June 30.


Solomons has been a member of the Board since IHG listed as an independent company in 2003 and has a proven track record as a business leader.


There is no replacement CFO yet.
