HP's Moscow Office Raided for Bribery Allegations

Russian investigators have raided HP's Moscow offices Wednesday, searching for clues in a multimillion-dollar bribery investigation, reports the Wall Street Journal.

The probe involves a US$47.8 million project to implement a “state-of-the-art computer system designed to provide secure communications for prosecutors throughout Russia,” notes the Journal. German and Russian investigators are looking into allegations that HP paid US$10.9 million in bribes to secure the deal made in 2003 through a German subsidiary.
