Cover-Up Sends Former CFO to Jail

Kammy Choo Swee Keng, 54, the former chief financial officer of Singapore semiconductor firm AEM-Evertech, has been sentenced to spend three months in jail for falsifying accounts of the company to cover up a string of payments worth more than S$1 million.

 

The Straits Times reports that investigations in 2007 revealed AEM-Evertech had been paying commissions to representatives of client companies. Sales staff would get a cheque without having to produce supporting documents, notes the newspaper.
