Coface: Singaporean Companies Are Best Among Asian Corporates

Singapore's country rating has been upgraded to A1 from A2, suggesting that local companies are highly likely to repay their debts and obligations.

Quoting French trade credit insurer Coface, ChannelNewsAsia says the upgraded rating makes Singapore "the safest place for business in Asia."

Elsewhere in Asia, Japan, Hong Kong and China are rated A1, A2, and A3 respectively.

Coface also notes there is a growing demand for risk mitigation tools among Asian corporates.
