China to Help Taiwanese Companies

China is considering new policies and measures that would encourage Taiwanese companies to further develop their businesses on the mainland, says a Xinhua report published by the China Daily.

"We will continue to study and introduce policies and measures in favor of Taiwan-funded enterprises to help them grow on the Chinese mainland, to join them in seizing opportunities and dealing with challenges," Fan Liqing, spokeswoman of the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, told the news agency.

The move follows Foxconn's announcement that it will move some of its production lines back to Taiwan and increase production capacity in other countries.
