Bank of America Merrill Lynch Appoints Meeta Makhan as Head of India GTS

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Meeta Makhan as Managing Director and Gead of Global Treasury Solutions (GTS), India. She will be based in Delhi and report to both Ivo Distelbrink, head of Global Transaction Services, Asia Pacific, and Kaku Nakhate, president and country head, India


In this role, Meeta will be responsible for driving the GTS business in India end to end, establishing strategy and execution plans for the GTS product set across treasury management, liquidity, cards, trade and supply chain finance, across all client segments. Working with the well established GTS and client coverage teams Meeta will leverage her considerable market experience to further enhance GTS client relationships, achieve return targets and continue to build market share in this critically important country.


Within India GTS, Babu Vaidyanathan, head of Treasury Management, Jayant Mehrotra, head of Trade & Supply Chain Finance, and Dhiraj Bajaj, now India head of FI Sales, will continue in their current roles and report to Meeta in-country, in addition to their regional lines of reporting.


Meeta joins BAML from Barclays Bank where she was head of coverage for the multinational business in India. She previously worked with Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank in senior transaction banking roles. She brings over 15 years of experience to the firm.
