Arthur Lang to join CapitaLand

CapitaLand has announced that Arthur Lang, currently Co-Head of Investment Banking in South-east Asia at Morgan Stanley, will be joining CapitaLand as its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) commencing by mid-September.

 

Olivier Lim, who has been with CapitaLand since 2003 and its Group CFO since July 2005, will assume the position of Head of Strategic Corporate Development (including Mergers & Acquisitions), and during the transition period he will continue to advise the Group on overall capital management activities.

 

Lang, having been with Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division in Singapore since 1996, brings strong credentials to his role as Group CFO at CapitaLand.

 

Prior to his current role as Co-Head of Investment Banking in South-east Asia at Morgan Stanley, Lang spent almost two years in Hong Kong as the department’s Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific ex-Japan. Lang worked on many important advisory and financing transactions for Singapore clients which include Temasek Holdings, CapitaMall Trust, Singapore Telecom, Singapore Power, PSA International, Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), Fraser & Neave, ST Engineering and Singapore Airlines. He worked on the sale of the three power generation companies namely Tuas Power, Senoko Power and Power Seraya; the US$1 billion rights offering by NOL; and bond financings for companies such as ST Engineering and PETRONAS.

 

Lang has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Harvard University.
