Alistair Brown joins Axa Asia as CFO

Axa Asia Life has appointed Alistair Brown as Hong Kong-based regional chief financial officer.

Replacing Kent Griffin, Brown relocates from Melbourne where he has been general manager for corporate finance at Axa Asia Pacific Holdings since 2006.

As CFO for the region, Brown is now responsible for finance, investments, risk, legal, audit and compliance.

An Australia native, Brown has been with Axa Group for 15 years. He started in the group finance division at National Mutual in Australia in 1994. After the acquisition of National Mutual by Axa, he moved to Axa's head office in Paris.

In 1999, Brown returned to Axa Australia, before assuming the post of financial controller at Axa Japan in 2001.
