This report from Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, looks at the link between environmental, social and governance (ESG) and corporate financial performance (CFP). The findings are based on ESG-CFP academic review studies that have been published since 1970.
The results show an overwhelmingly positive correlation between ESG and CFP. Only 10% of the studies display a negative ESG-CFP relationship.
Studies show that ESG is particularly effective in North America and Emerging Markets.
