Pacnet, a provider of connectivity and data hosting services in Asia, has appointed Brett Lay, Chief Financial Officer, as interim CEO. A global search is underway for a permanent Chief Executive Officer.

 

Lay is a 25-year veteran of the telecom industry with significant operational and financial experience.

 

For the past five years as Pacnet's Chief Financial Officer, Lay has been responsible for Pacnet's financial strategies, planning and operations and corporate finance initiatives.

 

Prior to Pacnet, Lay held Chief Financial Officer positions at Pihana Pacific and MediaOne Group, Asia Pacific and served at US West/MediaOne Group Inc. for fourteen years.

 

Lay holds two master of science degrees, one in Finance and one in Management, from the University of Colorado.
