In these times of financial stress, corporate treasurers need all the help they can get. Software vendors and service providers are scrambling for bigger market share with new products and alliances. The latest offering is a partnership between software firm SunGard and foreign exchange specialist FXall.

FXall’s electronic foreign currency exchange and the SunGard Transactions Network for money markets trading are now linked, allowing customers of each platform to access their money market investments and foreign currency trades from a single platform. The two companies describe the linkage as a great boost to customers such as corporate treasurers and hedge funds.

The new product gives FXall clients the ability to trade money market funds directly through their current browser interface using SunGard's STN money markets portal, a global, multi-currency trading and connectivity solution for treasurers, hedge funds and other institutional customers. FXall users can now analyse, trade and report on more than 240 money market funds.

For their part, SunGard Transactions Network users gain access to FXall’s foreign exchange trading solution, allowing them to take advantage of a broad range of foreign exchange products and trading strategies and a deep pool of liquidity while meeting their best-execution and workflow management needs.

I think I read something similar on the www.absolutewealth.com website. It's quite normal to create a global financial platform because the international trend right now is towards globalization of services. The finance market makes no exception from that.
