Tong Choo Cherng has been named Executive Director for Finance at Fastube Limited. Tong is responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting functions of the group.  
 
Prior to the appointment, Tong was an independent director of Hi-P International Ltd., another company listed on the Mainboard of the SGX-ST, where he sat as a member of its audit committee. Subsequently in November 2010, he resigned as independent director, and was appointed as a senior consultant to the chief executive officer of Hi-P International Ltd, a post he held until August 2011.
 
From 2003 to 2009, Tong was engaged as director (South Pacific) of mDR Limited, a company listed on the Mainboard of the SGX-ST, where he was charged with the overall responsibility of managing mDR Limited’s operations in Australia and New Zealand. From 2005 to 2009, he was appointed the chief executive officer and executive director of mDR Limited. 
 
Tong also worked for JIT Ltd as group chief financial officer. When JIT Ltd was acquired by Flextronics International Ltd, Mr Tong became its group chief financial officer for South Asia from 2000 to 2003.
 
In 1996, Tong joined Thomson Consumer Electronics Marketing Asia Pte Ltd as a manager of finance, ventures and business development. In 1998, he was promoted to manager of planning and distribution.
