A Singaporean will spend seven months in jail for receiving S$140,000 in cash from a labour recruitment agency, reports the Straits Times.
Loke Geok Nee, senior human resource staffing administrator of Seagate Technology International, has been found guilty of helping the AA Recruitment Network win the bid for sourcing 140 foreign workers for the hard disk drive manufacturer, says the Times.
The court found that in November 19, 2007, Loke was given S$1,000 for each foreign worker hired.
