Two top accountants of Dell have been sued by the U.S. Securities and Exchanges Commission for improper accounting, reports CNBC.
Robert Davis and Randall Imhoff, former accountants of the world's third largest computer manufacturer, manipulated financial statements to meet Wall Street earnings targets between 2001 to 2003.
The fraud case is the latest blow being dealt by Dell. Last week the company lost its bid to acquire storage technology firm 3PAR. The board of directors of 3PAR confirmed late Friday that it has accepted Hewlett-Packard's acqusition offer of US$30 per share.
