In a move to jointly oppose trade and investment protectionism, China and the U.S. have agreed to relax agriculture, technology, travel and other trade restrictions, says The Wall Street Journal.
According to the newspaper, the announcement was made ahead of President Barack Obama's first visit to Beijing in November.
The Journal says agriculture was a highlight, with Thursday's agreements paving the way for the resumption of U.S. pork exports to China, which were halted in May on Chinese fears about H1N1 influenza. In exchange, the U.S. agreed to ease a six-year-old restriction on Chinese poultry exports to the U.S.
