China Accuses U.S. of Abusing Trade Rules

China's central Ministry of Commerce has accused the United States of abusing its own trade measures by imposing duties on imports from mainland, the latest of which are new duties against steel pipes, reveals a Reuters report published by the South China Morning Post.

 

According to the Reuters article, the U.S. has imposed preliminary duties ranging from 11 to 13 percent on steel pipe from China.

 

“This is the United States abusing its own trade relief measures,” says Yao Jian, spokesman for Ministry of Commerce, in a statement obtained by Reuters.
