All Big Four accounting firms had outstanding growth in 2011, as revenues grew 9% from 2010 to record levels of $103 billion, with help from global economic improvement and emerging countries. This year, PwC is the largest accounting firm on the planet, finds Big4.com.
KPMG grew the fastest while Ernst & Young was the slowest, and the gap between the two firms narrowed to only $170 million.
Both Asia and Advisory had double-digit revenue growth. Audit and Tax had solid growth after two soft years. Revenues in many emerging markets and developing countries rose over 20%.
